This month in Babylock club we will discuss the different methods of stitching an applique' and the many type of applique'. We will applique' a tree or heart that can later be sewn into a pin cushion or just to learn the technique of appliques.
We will also learn how to embroidery an applique' design (penguin or snowflake) on a hand towel (terry or woven).
Supply List:
- Bring machine with applique'/open toe foot, embroidery foot and hoop (4x4 of 5x7)
- 1 or 2 hand towels (can purchase at the store)
- 1 5x7 piece of water soluble stabilizer (topping, like solvy)
- 2 8x10 pieces of fusible tearaway stabilizer
- 1 pair of embroidery scissors
- 1 bobbin w/bobbin thread
- Embroidery Thread: red, green white, black, yellow, orange, brown and light blue (snowflake).
- 1.4 yd. fusible web (light weight wonder under or allene's)
- a few fabric scraps (red, green, black, white)
- ribbon or trim for towel
